The Truckee Library, the Friends of the Truckee Library, and the Truckee Donner Historical Society welcome Old Caleb Greenwood—a 19th-century mountain man and the human metaphor for the opening of the West—here in Truckee to tell his tale of meeting Chief Truckee, leading wagons over Donner Pass, and spinning yarns about Donner Lake. Frank X. Mullen, who will portray Caleb Greenwood Chautauqua-style, is a Reno investigative journalist, historian and author of The Donner Party Chronicles.
