Truckee Wine Events

There are many Truckee Wine Events that happen in the Truckee and surrounding area either on an annual basis, or just to celebrate a certain event or occasion. If you read my Truckee wine page, you know that I am a big fan of wine, so I do my best to attend as many of these events that I can!

This page will highlight the Annual Truckee Wine Events that happen each year in the area! The details of these events and other wine events can be found in the Truckee Travel Guide's Event Calendar. If you are putting on an event, and I don't yet have your info. in the calendar, it is easy to enter your own Event which will have it's own page on this website.

Soroptimist Wine & Restaurant Faire 

What: Soroptimist Wine & Restaurant Faire Fundraiser

When: Saturday, June 3, 2017

Time: 5:00pm - 8:00pm.

Location: Coyote Moon Golf Course, 10685 Northwoods Blvd, Truckee, CA

Cost: $50 in advance/$55 day of the event. Purchase tickets online at http://sitd.info/

What is included: Wine and beer tasting, and culinary delights prepared by local restaurants and caterers.

Details: There will be a silent auction, raffle, and live music.

Proceeds benefit: The Soroptimist International of Truckee Donner.

Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival 

Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival - 31st Annual Celebration

Dates: September 8-10, 2017

Location: The Village at Northstar 

What: Come enjoy two full days of cooking seminars and demonstrations, culinary competitions, wine tastings, grape stomp, and more at the 31st Annual Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival in the Village at Northstar™.

Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk & Shop

What: Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk & Shop 

When: Saturday, October 7, 2017

Time: The time is scheduled from Noon - 4pm.

Cost: $40 in advance/$45 day of the event

What is included: Tickets include tastings with over 30 wineries, five food tickets, commemorative glass, and a 2017 Wine, Walk & Shop Map!

Details: You can walk around the Downtown Commercial Row, full of it's quaint shops, while tasting the various wine options, and food samplings by chefs of the best restaurants and caterers in the Truckee and local area. 1,000 people are expected to attend!

Northstar Village Wine Walks

The Northstar Village Wine Walks occur on the last Saturday of each month.

I attended some of these wine events last year. The wine was awesome, I talked to some great people, and they typically had a band playing, so it was great to sit outside around a fire and listen to the music.

Time: 3:00pm - 6:00pm (Note: This was 2016 info - 2017 will be posted when announced)

What: Wine & Food Sampling throughout the Village - Price includes a Commemorative Wine Glass (pictured)

Price: $25 in advance online or $32 at the door (Note: This was 2016 info - 2017 will be posted when announced)

Squaw Valley 15th Annual Art, Wine, & Music Festival

What: Squaw Valley - Annual Art, Wine & Music Festival

When: Sat/Sun July 8-9, 2017

Time: 11:00am - 5:00pm Event; Wine Tasting 2:00pm - 5:00pm

Where: Village at Squaw Valley in Olympic Valley, CA

Cost: $25 per person/per day suggested donation (Note: This was 2016 info., 2017 info. TBA)

Details: Complementing the art and music, a wine tasting, showcasing twelve exquisite wineries, will be offered for $25 daily from 2 to 5pm and includes a commemorative wine glass. All proceeds from the wine tasting will benefit Achieve Tahoe.

The Village will come alive as artists, craft makers, performers, and musicians come to participate in this two day annual events. The event will feature three performance stages, restaurants, shops, and fine art booths and exhibits.

29th Annual Alpen Wine Fest

What: Squaw Valley - 29th Annual Alpen Wine Fest

When: Sunday, September 3, 2017

Time: 2:00pm - 5:00pm 

Where: Village at Squaw Valley in Olympic Valley, CA

Cost: $40 per person in advance, $50 day of, which includes a crystal souvenir glass and tastings from over 40 Vineyards. (Note: 2017 recommended donation has not been posted yet)

Details: All proceeds benefit Can Do Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Tahoe City Wine Walk

What: Tahoe City Wine Walk

Date: Saturday, June 17, 2017

Time: 12:00pm - 4:00pm

Location: 425 North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City, CA

Cost: $50.00 at the door, $45.00 if purchased online prior to June 19th.

Details: Sip, Shop and Explore Tahoe City along its scenic, lakeside sidewalks while tasting wines and sampling delicious morsels from acclaimed Tahoe restaurants and caterers.
