Truckee’s History Alive!
A local history program series to delight and enlighten our community

The Truckee Library, the Friends of the Truckee Library, and the Truckee Donner Historical Society welcome Virginia Reed Murphy—a young lady pioneer whose family traveled to Truckee as prominent members of the Donner Party—here in Truckee to tell her tale of hardship, danger and adventure. Cathryn Fairlee, who will portray Mrs. Murphy Chautauqua-style, is a story-performer from a long line of California pioneers herself.
